A .pdf file to make 8 picture cards, 8 word cards and 8 labelled picture cards for the zoology vocabulary typically studied in Montessori settings:

Fish: head, gills, dorsal fin, body, fins, tail fin, skeleton

This set is used to teach the child the main parts of a fish's body, the appropriate vocabulary and the different functions of these parts.

The labelled picture cards are presented to the child and the body parts are named and discussed. Children match the picture cards and then the word cards to the first row of cards. A three period lesson can be given to teach the terminology if appropriate.
