In the final stage of number work 1-10 the child applies his skills in associating quantity and symbol by identifying and placing the numerals in their proper sequence and then associating the corresponding amount of counters beneath them. The pattern in which they are placed is used to introduce the concept of odd and even. The set includes a box with lid and two compartments containing 55 red wooden counters and red wooden cut-out numerals 1-10.
