You can also use hollow pasta shapes 

 

2 Lacing Smaller Beads

Beads and laces, bowl, tray  

Threading at random or alternating colours.

 

3 Lacing Beads following a Pattern

Selection of beads, lace, container, tray.

The child can devise own pattern or follow a diagram.

 

4 Sorting and Lacing Beads

Selection of beads, lace, sorting tray.

Thread the beads on the lace sorting by size/colour/shape/type

 

5 Lacing Buttons

Buttons, lace, sorting tray.

Vary the material to be laced with a selection of buttons, laces

 

 

Suggestions for additional items needed: beads, dried beans, lentils, macaroni, coriander seeds, coffee beans, corn puffs, rice, pebbles, shells
