Detective Adjective Exercise

This exercise demonstrates the function of the adjective as the describing word. The set contains the 7 diverse types of triangles, each in three colours and each in three sizes (63 triangles total) in a beechwood box with lid. This set of materials combines language skills with geometric shape recognition. 

Sixty-three plastic triangles : 21 yellow, 21 blue and 21 red. Assorted sizes and types.

Students are encouraged to sort the figures by colour, size, and type (i.e. equilateral, isosceles, obtuse) and then describe them according to their attributes. The sorting reinforces the geometric vocabulary and recognition, while the description addresses the language skills (adjectives).
