Balance Board
A wobble board requiring good balancing skills to keep the 4 balls running in the track.
Stand on the board and gently tilt the board using balance and core muscles to roll the ball around the grooved path.
Can also be used without the ball too: exercises can be carried out sitting, kneeling or standing on the board; rock from side to side - with feet firmly placed on the board, make slow controlled movements from side to side; rock backwards and forwards - slowly rock the board from front to back; slowly rotate the board using controlled circular movements; try getting the child to throw a beanbag or ball at you, or at a target such as a bucket or some skittles; pass a beanbag from hand-to-hand while balancing on the board; reach to clap soap bubbles or to catch floaty scarves.
An excellent exercise for feet, ankles, knees, hips, balance training and core stability which can improve posture. Could be useful for Dyspraxia.
